Understanding Remote Access Using Mobile Sync

By default, this app pushes files to a Windows PC. Remote Access reverses that role: it allows the SyncFolder app on Windows to take the lead and connect to your mobile device instead.

How It Works

In this mode, your mobile device acts as a passive host. You don't need to trigger any sync actions on your phone. Once the server is running in the background, your Windows PC can connect to it at any time to browse, copy, or synchronize files.

Setup Requirements

To establish a secure connection, you must complete the following steps:

  1. Create an account: set a unique username and password. You will need to enter these credentials into the Windows app.
  2. Define permissions: select the specific folders you want to make visible to your PC. For your privacy, no folders are shared by default.
  3. Network: ensure your device and PC are on the same local network (Wi-Fi).
